Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.
Fluently add and subtract within 100 using strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
Students will create their own sums throughout this worksheet by rolling number cubes to generate numbers. Firstly, students will roll a number cube twice and recording their results will create an addition question of a number between 11 and 16 and a multiple of ten. Next, the prefilled numbers mean that children will be adding a number between 21 and 26 to a multiple of 10. In the second half of the worksheet, students will roll the number cube three times to create addition questions of any two digit number and a multiple of 10.
