Suitable for Grades: 4th Grade, 6th Grade
CCSS: 4.NBT.B.6, 6.NS.B.2
CCSS Description: Find whole-number quotients and remainders with up to four-digit dividends and one-digit divisors, using strategies based on place value, the properties of operations, and/or the relationship between multiplication and division. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
Fluently divide multi‑digit numbers using the standard algorithm.
This worksheet can be used in conjunction with Dividing with Single Digit Divisors (A), (B), (C) and (D). In section A it contains 20 questions in “bus stop” style where 3 and 4 digit dividends are to be divided by a single digit. Section B then provides similar dividends, but with 2 digit divisors. The questions are suitable for all division methods using the “bus stop” notation. All answers are without a remainder.
