Suitable for Grades: 4th Grade, 5th Grade
CCSS: 4.NBT.B.6, 5.NBT.B.6
CCSS Description: Find whole-number quotients and remainders with up to four-digit dividends and one-digit divisors, using strategies based on place value, the properties of operations, and/or the relationship between multiplication and division. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
CCSS Description: Find whole‑number quotients of whole numbers with up to four‑digit dividends and two‑digit divisors, using strategies based on place value, the properties of operations, and/or the relationship between multiplication and division. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
Section A contains 20 questions in “bus stop” or short division style where 3 and 4 digit dividend are to be divided by a single digit. Section B then provides similar dividends but with 2 digit divisors. The questions are suitable for all long and short division methods using the “bus stop” notation. All answer are without a remainder.
