This worksheet will review lines parallel to the x and y axes, as well as introduce straight lines in the form y = mx + b.
Section A kicks off with lines parallel to the x and y axes. Students have to label these lines with the correct equations.
In section B, students will plot 12 functions on their own coordinate grids using tables of values. We have included lines with the same slopes yet different y intercepts to enable students to begin pattern spotting and making connections. Coordinates will be plotted in all four quadrants, and four of the lines have a negative slope. Ensure students are equipped with a pencil and ruler before they start drawing their straight lines.
In section C, students are given various equations and must complete three coordinates of their graphs.
