Simplifying Fractions (B) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet starts with an image of a partially shaded rectangle that students will identify equivalent fractions from.
Section B asks learners to identify fractions that are already in their simplest form, creating the perfect opportunity for discussion.
Next, students are guided through simplifying fractions by dividing numerator and denominator by a common factor. In questions 1 - 3, the factor is given, and in questions 4 - 6, students are prompted with a numerator or denominator given in the simplified fraction.
