Recognize a line of symmetry for a two-dimensional figure as a line across the figure such that the figure can be folded along the line into matching parts. Identify line-symmetric figures and draw lines of symmetry.
Students are provided with shapes and patterns that include a vertical mirror line. They are tasked with reflecting a shape or pattern from one side of the mirror line to the other. Additionally, students will reflect patterns that appear on both sides of the mirror line, reinforcing their understanding of symmetry and reflection.
