CCSS Description: Represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles, and use the nets to find the surface area of these figures. Apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
Solve real-world and mathematical problems involving area, volume, and surface area of two- and three-dimensional objects composed of triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, cubes, and right prisms.
This worksheet provides some completion tables for the volume and surface area of cuboids and cubes. Section A gives images of the cuboids and cubes with the dimensions, and learners must calculate the volume and surface area. Section B provides the volume and two of the dimensions of the shapes in the first table, and then either the volume or surface area of a cube, requiring the side length and other measurement.
